Title:       Seed Collection

大致内容       文章主要讲人们收集种子的原因和意义。人们收集种子主要是为了防止珍稀植物from extinction,保护生态多样性。还有人是为了经济原因,为了未来的drugs和crops。Sir Joseph Banks自己出钱赞助对种子的收集。种子一般是放在地下的仓库之类的地方。MSF组织是世界上最大的种子银行,储存了很多数量的种子。有很多原因导致世界上种子种类的不断减少其中之一是living habitat的破坏导致植物灭绝,比如发展中国家会因为farmland开发破坏植物。文章后面提到了植物对人类的影响,植物有两个作用,就是净化环境和补充能量。

大致内容       第三篇文章是关于教育方法对儿童的影响。在文章前半部分介绍了1960年之前的研究都在研究学生的learning和老师的personality。以前的教室里,老师是主导,到了欧洲二战时期,这种实验的权威性受到了质疑。文章后面提到其中一个专家认为要提高研究的reliable可靠性。就是研究者还要分析政治对研究的影响,比如欧洲受到的二战影响。
点评:
本次阅读考试题型都很主流,Summary和Matching题目数量较多,T /F /NG 只有一组,整体难度适中。教师应指导学生在备考中做好主流题型的针对性练习。
